Delete your CodeRiv account

You can delete your account and its data at any time, with or without the app.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open CodeRiv and go to Profile › Settings.
  2. Tap Delete account (guests: Delete guest account) and confirm.

Your account is closed and you are signed out right away. Its data is erased within minutes. This can't be undone.

No longer have the app?

E-mail contact@coderiv.com from the address of your account with the subject “Delete my CodeRiv account”, or send the form below. To make sure the request is yours, we reply to that address and delete the account once you confirm, within 30 days at the latest. A guest account has no e-mail: delete it in the app, or tell us its nickname.

Send a deletion request

Enter the e-mail of your account. We write to that address to confirm, then delete the account and its data.

What is deleted

  • Your profile: nickname, avatar, country, level and e-mail address
  • Your sign-in details (password, Apple or Google link) and every session
  • Your progress: answers per topic, XP, streaks, Daily and practice history, hearts, trophies
  • Friends, invitations and challenge links; your certificates (their verification pages stop working)
  • Push tokens and notifications, the e-mails we sent you, the activity log, and analytics data

What is kept, and why

  • Matches you played stay in your opponents’ history, shown as “Deleted player” with nothing that points to you.
  • Purchase records, without any link to you, for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
  • Question reports you sent, without your name, so we can still fix the question.

Have Premium?

Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription: Apple or Google bill it. Cancel it first in the App Store or Google Play settings (see Support). More about your data in the Privacy Policy.
